What an interesting post, the teaching sounds very exciting, such a positive thing to do and I am sure your infectious enthusiasm will make this a very successful course. I wonder if the economic downturn will encourage more people to sew? Like you, I sewed as a teenager because I wanted things, things I could not afford otherwise. When I came to furnish my first home I turned to sewing again and nowadays I just cannot imagine not making my own curtains (even though curtains are my least favourite thing to make).
